Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Haridwar – Guptkashi

220 km | 7–8 hours

  • • Begin your journey from Haridwar by road to Guptkashi
  • • En route, stop at Devprayag to witness the majestic merging of rivers that form the holy Ganga
  • • Arrive and check into your hotel by evening
  • • Enjoy a warm dinner and rest early — the next day's adventure begins before dawn!

Day 2: Guptkashi – Kedarnath

Drive + Trek

  • • Depart around 2–3 AM for Sonprayag (32 km drive), followed by a shared cab ride (5 km) to Gaurikund
  • • Take a holy dip in the thermal springs of Gaurikund, believed to purify the soul
  • • Trek to Kedarnath Temple and arrive by evening to attend the divine aarti
  • • Overnight stay in a hotel/ashram near the temple (just 50 meters from the shrine)

Day 3: Kedarnath – Guptkashi

Temple Visit & Return Trek

  • • Early morning darshan and pooja at Kedarnath (start by 3 AM)
  • • Visit nearby sacred sites: Bhairavnath Temple – The fierce guardian deity of Kedarnath
  • • Visit Bheem Shila – The miraculous boulder that protected the temple during the 2013 floods
  • • Begin the return trek to Gaurikund and head back to Guptkashi for the night

Day 4: Guptkashi – Haridwar

Return Journey

  • • After breakfast, check out and drive back to Haridwar
  • • Reach by evening and bid farewell to your fellow travelers
  • • Return home carrying not just memories but blessings and peace from the abode of Lord Shiva
